GEN launches Malaysia's first green digital asset at GEN Impact 2025

GEN Impact 2025 marked the official launch of Malaysia's first green digital asset, bringing together renewable energy infrastructure, digital asset rails, and transparent performance verification.

Co-hosted with Gambit Group, the event showed how real-world clean energy assets can be transformed into investable digital instruments backed by measurable operating data rather than speculation alone.

At launch, GEN introduced a tokenized green energy asset valued at USD 1 million and backed by a live operating facility under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement. The asset is connected to real-time renewable energy generation data, giving investors clearer visibility into the infrastructure behind the product.

The asset is issued through GEN's portfolio token $GENX, which is designed to provide fractional access to solar, EV charging, and energy-efficiency facilities. Yield distribution is tied to verified energy output and distributed in USDC.

The launch also highlighted GEN Core, the AIoT and blockchain architecture that captures electricity generation and consumption data directly from connected devices.

GEN Core validates asset data at the edge and anchors verified records on-chain, creating an audit-ready foundation for yield distribution, ESG reporting, carbon credit generation, and long-term asset valuation.

GEN's partnership with Gambit Group adds a regulated custody layer to the ecosystem. Gambit holds Hybrid Trust and Digital Asset Custodian licenses from the Securities Commission Malaysia, supporting asset segregation, monitoring, and protection under Malaysia's trust framework.

Together, GEN and Gambit are setting a local benchmark for institution-grade infrastructure around real-world asset tokenization.

GEN's roadmap points toward onboarding more solar farms, EV charging networks, and high-efficiency energy projects into the ecosystem. The company also plans to expand renewable credit and carbon credit workflows based on verified GEN Core data.
